A message from the GVDA President -

Dear Veterans and GVDA Supporters -

The Mission of the Georgia Veterans Day Association is to honor our Veterans and Active-Duty Military in addition to educating our fellow citizens on the service and sacrifice of our men and women who wear and have worn our Nation’s uniform. We accomplish these goals by organizing and hosting our annual Veterans Day events.

We are pleased to announce that the 44th Annual Georgia Veterans Day Events (Georgia Veterans Day Parade in Midtown Atlanta and Observance Ceremony) proudly presented by the Georgia Veterans Day Association, Inc., will be held on Saturday, November 8th.  In addition, we are excited to host our annual black-tie Freedom Ball that evening in the Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium.

Each year, the Georgia Veterans Day Association honors all Veterans, from every branch of service and from every period of service – both in peace and in war.  However, we always select an official theme to pay special honors to a specific group of Veterans.  Our 2025 Official Theme will be: “Honoring Women in Uniform”.

Since the birth of our nation, women have supported or served as a member of our military forces during peace and in war.  Today, women are proudly serving in almost every job available across the six branches of our uniform services.  From their early service as nurses  providing needed care to dynamic Infantry leaders on today’s battlefields, women have been vital to the success of our military.  In 2025, our goal is to honor the contributions of women who have honorably served in our military and to inspire the next generation.

Our Senior Leadership Team and Directors are diligently working to finalize our plans for 8 November.  Please monitor our website and sign up for our mailing list at the top of the page to get all of our latest updates.

Thank you for your continued support of the GVDA and all of Georgia’s Veterans.

Respectfully,

Kevin L Miller

President & Chairman
